Callus causes and callus careCallus is an abnormal thickening and hardening of the skin in the feet, hands or knees due to repeated friction. The medical treatment of plantar hyperhidrosis involves two axes:
In first line, ypu can use a local treatment consisting of topical application of deodorants or antiperspirants. However, they do not seem to be very effective on plantar hyperhidrosis. The iontophoresis is the second-line treatment. This treatment uses electrical current for therapeutic purposes. The iontophoresis is safe, effective and well tolerated. However, it has some cons-indications: IUD, pacemaker, wounds, prostheses or metal materials. Sand gently with a pumice stone or a file for this purpose once or twice a week, focusing on the rough parts. To reduce calluses must remove dead skin and reduce friction. Benefits: The skin of the foot is soft and comfortable. |
