This removal must be performed with sterile instruments and disposable blades, wearing specialized protective dressings, or silicone protective splint on measures (Orthoplasty). the local application of a cream or keratolytic solution must be practiced with tact and moderation and only in cases of temporary inability of consultation (travel). The keratolytic mask the pain by softening keratotic structures, but do not eliminate the hyperkeratosis. Moreover, the risk of burning healthy tissue is not negligible.
